Lorry flips and loses its load near Southport

A truck driver escaped unharmed after a truck flipped down a ditch on Gorse Lane this morning, Thursday 30 June 2016.

Lancashire Police confirmed they were called to Gorse Lane, shortly after 10am today to reports of a collision involving a Mercedes truck.

A silver and grey Mercedes heavy truck flipped sideways into a ditch losing its full load of corn.

The driver was the only person in the vehicle.

The road has not been obstructed and traffic not affected. A recovery operation is underway (1pm).
