Long lost relatives search for Southport man Roy Brown

An OTS reader from U.S contacted us today asking for your help. Christel Temple said: “We are looking for the child in the photo whose name is Roy. His mother’s name was Joan (last name uncertain). The letter gave a return address of “J. L. Kendall” of 108 Abbotsford Rd, Nottingham.  Roy was born in 1944 or 1945 and was 7 years old in the photograph (taken in 1952).”

“The letter was mailed to an African American soldier named Alvin Randolph Spain who was stationed at Burtonwood from April 6, 1944 for an unknown time, but likely less than a year.”

Please contact Christel Temple (Pittsburgh, PA, USA) at cnt15@pitt.edu if you have any information.
