14th March 2016

It’s been a long dark winter and with just a hint of spring in the air West Lancs MG Owners Club had arranged Sunday 13th March for a social Sunday lunch meeting at the Farmers Arms in Bispham near Parbold.

As it was still very early in the year you either turned up in your everyday car or if the weather was fine you might fancy a spin out in your trusty MG.

ots-mg-club-2  There was a good turn out with 22 members turning up for a drive out into the Lancashire countryside and a Sunday lunch, we had to choose from a wide and varied menu and we really were spoilt for choice.
As it was such a fine early spring day with the sun shining 8 MG’s turned out to enjoy the social occasion 2 MGB-GT’s,1 RV8,1 MGF,2 MGA’s,1 MGB and 1 MGTF with there owners discussing how there pride and joy had weathered the winter or what was still to be done to get it in tip top shape in readiness for the up and coming show season that starts in earnest from May to September.
We would like to thank the Farmers Arms staff and management for the great hospitality we were shown with compliments to the chef all round and also Jerry Myers our mid month meet organiser for arranging the venue and coordinating the event.
dinnerots-din-2Could we also remind anyone who lives in West Lancs or surrounding areas with a classic car and would like to join us having social nights out going to car shows and events and just generally having a bit of fun while raising money for deserving charity’s.We meet at Briars Hall Lathom on the third Thursday of every month at 8pm – or click here www.westlancsmg.co.uk or check out our Facebook page West Lancs MG Owners.
