W.L.MG.O.C Have a “Bit of a Do” at the Ship Inn

As the summer light fades and the leaves on the trees begin to fall and the colours of autumn start to appear West Lancs MG Owners Club had a “Bit of a Do” by having a social get together over sunday lunch at the Ship Inn on Rosemary lane just off the A5147 in Haskayne with the Inn situated on the towpath of the Leeds/Liverpool canal.

Even though we have had the warmest September since records began winter is only just around the corner and it was decided we would have a get together as the car shows and the summer mid-month meets have come to a end for this year, and the members and cars will not have a great deal of time left to enjoy the last of the dry bright weather, although we go out in the wet weather (after all we do live in the north-west) but it is always a lot more comfortable with a soft top to go out in the dry bright sunshine. What a day it turned out to be! With the sunshine beating down and wall to wall blue sky with hardly a cloud in the sky it was forecast to be 14c but in the bright sunshine it did feel a lot warmer than that and although it was October there can’t be many more glorious sunny days left in the year like this one?
