Local MG Club Awards Night

W.L.MG.O.C November Monthly Meeting (pride of ownership presentations) and Awards Night.

Tonight 17th November West Lancashire MG Owners Club held their monthly meeting but this was not just any meeting night this was OUR awards night. A night we have looked forward to for many a month as this is the evening we find out the results of our pride of ownership which was held way back in July of this year.

So with all the award plaques newly engraved with this year’s winners names and polished to perfection without further ado the proceedings began.

AND THE FIRST AWARD OF THE EVENING GOES TO?????

Club Supporter of the Year

mg-winner-1

The next award winner of our Rocker Box Derby.

And the last trophy of the evening.

ots-mg-5And no one was more surprised than myself.

Steve Kirton being presented by Cam Cunningham (secretary and last year’s winner).

After all the excitement of the awards we all settled down to a raffle and quiz with the question master and adjudicator of the evening being Nigel and the winner was Andrew with a prize of a set of quality screwdrivers (always handy around the house but especially handy when you own a MG).

With talk and excitement being bandied around and the picking of menus for our forthcoming Christmas dinner at our December 15th meeting the evening and ceremony’s came to a end for this year’s presentation night.

So many thanks go out to Briars Hall for the use of one of there rooms and congratulations to all the winners of the various awards.

If you have a classic car and live local why not check us out we meet every third Thursday of the month at Briars Hall Lathom, Nr Ormskirk L40 5TH. Or check out our website www.westlancsmg.co.uk
