Local Author reaches for the stars as new book is launched

Local author Sally-Anne Tapia-Bowes is celebrating after her first children’s book was published by Purple Penguin Publishing this week.

‘The Star That Lost Its Sparkle’ is illustrated by talented Formby-based artist Holly Bushnell and is the delightful tale of a little blue star called Bailey on his journey to rediscover his lost sparkle.

Southport-born Sally-Anne has already seen her first adult novel, ‘His Mother’, a thriller set in Southport, published this year.

‘The Star That Lost Its Sparkle’ will be officially launched on Saturday 19th December at 2pm at Write Blend on South Road, Waterloo, giving children the chance to meet Sally-Anne and illustrator Holly and have their books signed.
