Lancs Police appealing for the public’s help to reunite a vintage bicycle with its rightful owner. August 19th, 2013 admin Latest News Shares Comments POLICE are appealing for the public’s help to reunite a vintage bicycle with its rightful owner. The rare Francis-Barnett Autocycle was found by a member of the public hidden in his shed in Moreside Drive in Penwortham on 26th July. Police believe it is likely to be stolen but so far enquires have failed to identify its owner. T/Detective Inspector John Entwisle from Southern CID said: “This bike has been identified as a Francis-Barnett Autocycle from the 1940’s and we are appealing to members of the public to help us find its owner. “It is in excellent condition but was found in an unused shed with the owner having no idea how it got there or how long it has been there. “Given the age of the bike it is likely to hold sentimental value to somebody so I would ask anybody with any knowledge of this item to contact me at Lancashire Police on 101.” People with information can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court. Related Comments comments!
