Lancashire Day events take place in Southport next week

The following Lancashire Day events will be taking place during next week
Thursday 27th Nov, Botanic Gardens, Churchtown, Southport, 10.45am-2pm , Lancashire Day and First World War commemoration,local school children will sing a collection of songs about Lancashire and World War One.At 11am,local man Alan Foxhall will read the Lancashire Day Proclamation at the gardens and guests will be invited to lay poppies in remembrance.
Thursday 27th Nov,Barons Bar, Scarisbrick Hotel, Lord St, Southport will be featuring Lancashire beers at only £2.10 per pint.

Sunday, 23rd Nov,The Grapes,Croston,will be celebrating Lancashire Day with some great local producers.Delway cheese will be selling their Lancashire cheeses,and the Old Bakery Bretherton with their fresh bread and cakes also Fiddlers Lancashire Crisps.Entertainment includes Traditional Lancashire Morris Dancers including The Southport Swords and Stone the Crows,Great local & traditional music from the Wigan Ukulele Club,Great Lancashire dishes on the menu,along with outdoor “stall” serving Lancaship hotpot,sausages,and hot cider.Six real ales and The “Lancashire Day Proclamation”.Wrap up warm this is an outdoor event-why not make a day of it and visit the Christmas Tree Festival at St Micheal & All Angels Church.
