Contractors David Wilson Homes have placed a metal mesh fence the length of Town Lane meaning that pedestrians have no way of leaving the southern end of the Kew estate.
Contractors did not give warning residents any warning. On the Sefton Council website there are no details of the road or footpath being closed.
A Kew Resident said: ” We are not happy with the lack of communication between contractors and residents”.
