Jetski Championships Races Back Into Crosby

Sefton is set to welcome back the British Jetski Championships for a weekend of racing and fun later this year.

Taking place at Crosby Lakeside on Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12, the event will host more than 20 prestigious races, as jet skiers battle it out across a variety of different categories.

A number of different top power Jet Ski racers will be performing on the day and spectators will be able to view both veteran and novice classes take on the course.

Alongside the official JSRA Championship races, there will also be a freestyle competition and a flyboard demonstration taking place at the free family friendly event.

Chris Gaskin, Senior Operations Manager Crosby Lakeside, said: “Jet Ski racing is a spectacular and visually exciting form of motor sport and I know everyone here at Crosby Lakeside is excited to welcome back the Championships.

“It is a fantastic fun filled day out for all the family with plenty of high octane turns, jumps and stunts to keep everyone entertained.”

Tim Plumpton, race commentator, said: “This season sees the return of British Champion Sophie Perrin and World Freestyle Champion Lee Stone is now racing in Ski GP.

“With record numbers in ski lites class, amazing talent from the juniors plus the increasing size and excitement of the Seadoo spark class,  it is sure to be a great event with some very close racing.”
Spectators at the event will be able to enjoy food and drink from the Bistro at Crosby Lakeside; with a new summer menu having launched on May 3, featuring mouth watering sharing platters and burgers.

Plus football fans will be able to keep up with all the European Championship fixtures, including England’s clash with Russia via the BIG SCREEN in the Lakeside Suite.
