Helen Ford, Events Officer at Sefton Council, said: “We are delighted Kiki will be appearing in one of the many free gigs taking place in the resort as part of the Southport Jazz Festival. “Kiki has more than 25 years experience within the music industry and as well as appearing on The Voice, she also sang as part of the opening ceremony at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. “She brings a magical Rhythm and Blues element to the Jazz Festival to complement a very varied and exciting line-up to the whole weekend which should appeal to everyone. “The festival is fast approaching and I hope as many people as possible across the town and beyond support it and try out a gig or two.” For full programme information, including ticketed concerts at The Atkinson, The Avenue and Southport Melodic Jazz Club, call 01704 533333 Submit News Contact us with your community, business or sport news.
