INJURY SHOOTING – NETHERTON August 8th, 2013 admin Latest News Shares Comments INJURY SHOOTING – NETHERTON Detectives have arrested a man following an injury shooting in Netherton last night, Wednesday 7 August. Officers were called to an address on Rochester Avenue at around 11.30pm, to reports two men had been injured. A 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old man have been taken to hospital where their conditions are described as stable. The 26-year-old man is undergoing surgery. A 19-year-old man from the Netherton area has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with this incident. He has been taken to a police station on Merseyside where he will be questioned. At this early stage of the investigation, the motive for the incident is unknown, but officers believe it to be targeted. Detectives are working to piece together the full circumstances and the area has been cordoned off for forensic examination. CCTV from the area is being sought and house to house enquiries will be carried out. Patrols have also been stepped up in the area.
