The work will be carried out during off-peak times from 9.30am to 3.30pm, and from 8pm to 6am, and require the closure of the inside lane along a half-mile section of the dual carriageway. It should be completed by Monday 10 December. ONGOING SCHEMES M55 Junctions 1 to 3 Woodplumpton Maintenance work to the draining system on the M55 is taking place until Sunday 18 November. Work is being carried out overnight between 8pm and 6am, with some lane closures in place. M6 Junction 31a South Ribble The M6 northbound exit slip road at Junction 31a will be closed overnight from 8pm until 6am while junction improvements and traffic signal work is carried out. A diversion will be in place via junction 32 northbound and the M55. The work is due to be completed by Sunday 18 November. M60 Junctions 4 to 2 South Manchester A major project is underway between Junctions 4 and 2 of the M60 and along the A34 to reduce congestion and improve safety. Various traffic restrictions are currently in place including daytime hard shoulder closures along the M60 anti-clockwise for 2 miles, and a 50mph speed limit through narrowed lanes. There will also be some overnight closures during the project, which will be in place from 9pm to 5am weekdays, and 9pm to 7am at weekends. The closures will affect: M56 eastbound between Junctions 3 and 1 M60 anticlockwise between Junctions 5 and 3 The entry slip road from the northbound A34 onto the anti-clockwise M60 at Junction 3 M60 Junction 3 anti-clockwise exit slip road onto the southbound A34 M60 Junction 3 clockwise exit slip road which merges with the anti-clockwise exit slip road before meeting the southbound A34 Work is due to be completed by mid-December. A590 Dalton-in-Furness to Ulverston Work is taking place to reduce the risk of flooding along a three-mile section of the A590 between Dalton-in-Furness and Ulverston. Some of the work will require lane closures along short sections with temporary traffic lights in place to guide motorists through the roadworks. The project is due to be completed by Sunday 9 December. A66 Dacre to Newbiggin Junctions There are 24-hour lane closures in place, with traffic led through the roadworks in convoy during the night, while resurfacing work is carried out until Wednesday 14 November. A66 Dubwath to Thornthwaite There are 24 hour lane closures in place with temporary traffic lights while work is carried out to improve drainage. It is due to be completed by Friday 23 November. A66 Sandford to Warcop Temporary traffic lights are in use between 9.30am and 3.30pm and between 8pm and 6am while the safety barrier in replace. The work is due to be completed by the end of November. WORK OFF THE HIGHWAYS AGENCY NETWORK WHICH MAY AFFECT HIGHWAYS AGENCY CUSTOMERS M6 Junction 31 Drivers are warned of possible delays in the Fulwood area of Preston around the M6 Junction 31a as two extra lanes are added to the motorway slip road, which takes traffic from the motorway onto Bluebell Way. Traffic signals will also be added to the roundabout. The work is being carried out by the council on behalf of the Homes and Communities Agency and is due to be completed by 19 January 2013.
