Immigration raid on Southport nail bar – two detained

Acting on intelligence, Home Office immigration enforcement officers visited Purple Nails on Eastbank Street Southport at around 3pm this afternoon (Wednesday 30 November).

Officers questioned staff to establish whether they had the right to live and work in the UK.

A 29-year-old man was found working illegally after overstaying his visa.

The nail shop remains open for business.
