Liverpool ONE has announced the return of its annual Ice Festival, with this year promising to be more spectacular than ever.

The iconic Ice Festival is set to transform Liverpool ONE’s renowned Chavasse Park into a magical winter wonderland. The seasonal event will officially launch on Thursday November 7.

A firm favourite returning to this year’s festivities will be the exclusive Ice Bar, which will be twice as big as last year! Visitors to the Ice Bar, which is made of crystal clear sculpture ice, will be able to sip drinks in specially designed ice glasses. Aprés, the Alpine themed café bar, alongside the Ice Bar, will provide a whole host of warming refreshments.

There will be an open-air ice rink, where visitors can skate while savouring the scenery of the park. A smaller ice rink, specially designed for children with penguin skate aids, is a new addition this year to ensure the whole family can don their skates during winter visits to Liverpool ONE. Children will be thoroughly entertained in Santa’s Workshop and Grotto with face painting, craft workshops, small rides and children’s entertainment. Santa himself will arrive at his Grotto, which will be based within the Ice Festival, on Sunday November 24.

As well as top attractions like the Ice Bar and the ice rinks, there will be a packed calendar of events including festival weekends, with performances from street entertainers and live ice sculpting displays.

Chavasse Park will be truly alive with the spirit of Christmas through the winter period. Donna Howitt added: “At Liverpool ONE, we are always trying to ensure that no two visits are the same. We have everything visitors will need this Christmas including leading retailers, a wide range of dining options and lots of fun activities at the Ice Festival, which promises to create some very special memories. The city centre is at its most vibrant around this time of year, and we’re proud to be at the heart of that.”
