It gave everyone the chance to acknowledge all those involved with the Armed Forces. The event was lead by the Revd. Stewart Reid, MA Vicar of ChristChurchSouthport. There was a two minute silence, the laying of wreaths, and a blessing before dismissal. Celebrating the commitment of servicemen and women past and present, the parade was attended by the Mayor of Sefton. Cllr Maureen Fearn, John Pugh MP, and many other dignatories. Each year Armed Forces Day is held in June, and the day is an opportunity for the nation to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community.
