House Fire Upper Aughton Road/Birch Street, Southport
Emergency services were called to Upper Aughton Road/Birch Street, Southport, this morning (17 July 2016) following an emergency 999 call.
Fire fighters arrived on scene within minutes and quickly put the fire out.
Two appliances attended the scene.
A local resident said: “Thick black smoke was billowing from the first floor windows.”
“Paramedics treated at least two people for smoke inhalation at the scene.”
