Witness appeal after hit and run on Lord Street, Southport

A driver fled the scene after a woman was knocked over in Southport near to the Nevill Street junction on Lord Street.

Merseyside Police received a call this afternoon at 3.54pm to Lord Street, Tuesday 10 November.

A spokesperson said:

“Merseyside Police’s Roads Policing team are appealing for information following a fail to stop road traffic collision on Lord Street, Southport this afternoon.

“The ambulance services and paramedics were called for the scene and the woman was treated for shock.

“The woman received what is thought to be minor injuries, but remains in hospital where she continues to be assessed.”

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who saw a dark coloured Ford Mondeo in the area to contact 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
