26th January 2016

Whilst it seems the centre of Lord Street is struggling to fill them empty shops. There is no denying that the northern end of Lord Street is thriving. The burning question is; Should this area of town be named to give it it’s own identity? Murmurs have suggested naming it The Northern Quarter but surely we can come up with something more original? We’d like to know your thoughts.

  1. Scenery – Princess Diana Gardens

Arguably the most beautiful gardens on Lord Street. Ok, it’s a bit cold to sit and enjoy a picnic at the moment but bare this forgotten area in mind in the warmer months. Watch out for the hundreds of daffodils due this spring thanks to the Lord Street in Bloom volunteers.
