Hesketh Park Gardening Volunteers

Tuesday 21st Oct 2014

Hesketh Park Conservatory Hesketh Park Conservatory

We are a small established group who work along side Sefton Council Park and Greenspaces department, meeting weekly on a Tuesday afternoon between March and November, to undertake a variety of garden maintenance activities and to create two edible gardens. Last year these gardens were commended by North West in Bloom and have created a lot of interest from park users.

This year as well as continuing with both edible gardens we will be creating a poppy bed to commemorate the 1st World War. If you would like to be involved in a gardening project that takes you through the whole cycle from seed sowing to planting out and in the case of the veg; patch, harvesting the produce, we would be very pleased for you to join our friendly team of volunteers.
We meet every Tuesday afternoon at 14:00 by the Conservatory at Hesketh Park.
