Genting Casino And Community Link Foundation Partnership Sees Main Stand Sponsorship

Genting Club Southport is proud to announce its sponsorship of Southport Football Club’s Grandstand, helping to secure the club’s future, as Southport FC moves towards the Football League.

The casino, located on The Promenade, has donated £20,000 to the club. And, in recognition of its ongoing support for another local cause, the casino decided to rename the Grandstand the ‘Community Link Foundation Main Stand, sponsored by Genting Casino Southport’.

Paul Smith, General Manager for Genting Club Southport explains: “We are delighted to be working with Southport FC and hope that our sponsorship goes some way to ensuring a Second Division Football League future for the club.

“We have worked in partnership with the Community Link Foundation since the casino launched in 2013 and I am honoured to sit on the board of the charity. Sponsoring the main stand at Southport FC in their name therefore seemed like the ideal opportunity to further raise the profile of this very worthwhile cause, which supports and enhances the lives of those living in the local area.”

To celebrate the sponsorship an exclusive dinner was hosted at the Southport FC Merseyrail Community Stadium by Genting Club Southport, at which the newly renamed Grandstand was officially unveiled.

Enda Ryland, Chair of the Community Link Foundation Board added: “We have worked with the casino for several years now and are delighted to see their continued commitment to the charity.

Tuesday night’s launch promises to be a fantastic event and we feel very grateful to Genting for helping raise awareness of our cause in such a high profile location.
