Galloways (Southport) Christmas Poster Campaign – Seize the Christmas days! November 25th, 2013 admin Latest News Shares Comments Join our Christmas poster campaign and sponsor a nostalgic day of December in support of Galloway’s. Southport based charity, are asking local offices around the Sefton area and West Lancashire area to help them Seize the Christmas Days in a bid to reinstall the spirit of Christmas, whilst raising much needed funds for the charity over the festive season. Galloway’s Society for the Blind, which provides advice, support and services to local blind and partially sighted people, to help them regain their independence and minimise the effects of reduced vision, have today launched an appeal to all offices in Sefton and West Lancashire. “The appeal is simple”, Emma Wilson, the fundraiser at Galloway’s Society for the Blind, commented. “We are asking all offices to ditch the normal and expensive exchange of Christmas Cards between colleagues and instead, take one of our fantastic A1 sized advent style posters – completely free of charge. The posters are designed to bring back those memories of a traditional British Christmas and reinstall the spirit of the great festive season, sparking conversation within the office. Each day on the poster has its own fun Christmas theme and colleagues simply need to pick which day they would like to sponsor, write their name in the space provided and leave a donation in lieu of or as well as Christmas cards. Chorley Building Society, commented “We took one of the posters last week and there has been nothing but buzz around it since we put it on the wall! It has gone down a storm in our office. If the idea was to create some office conversation about fond Christmas memories then Galloway’s have hit the nail on the head! It even came with a sheet of other Christmas Fundraising ideas we could do around the office…they’ve somehow managed to talk me into a bad Christmas Jumper Day! It’s a great, simple way of supporting a fab local charity whilst having some good old fashioned banter over the festive season. ” Emma continued, “It’s a really simple idea that we are certain will turn local offices into a hive of traditional Christmas spirit, whilst ensuring that we can continue supporting local blind and partially sighted people. If you would like one, just call on 01704 809109 or email [email protected] Enthusiastic about Christmas memories, Galloway’s Society for the Blind will be using social media to ensure people who aren’t office based, can still sponsor a day.
