28th October 2015

Family saga and historical novel writer Freda Lightfoot will be talking about her forthcoming book ‘Home is where the heart is’ – the first in a post-war saga trilogy – on Saturday, November 7, from 11am.

The following Tuesday, November 10, writer and publisher Bob Fowke will be giving a talk titled ‘Forbidden Books – Self-Publishing and Social Media’.

Bob Fowke will be tracing the history of self-publishing (and publishing) from Gutenberg to Kindle E-books, with a look at censorship through the ages and John Milton (among others) on free speech. The talk includes practical advice on self-publishing today and is open to all. The talk starts at 2pm.

Both events are free of charge but please book to avoid disappointment.

To secure a place on either, please phone Formby Library on 01704 874177 or emailFormby.Library@sefton.gov.uk.
