Formby Planning Report Is Published October 21st, 2013 admin Latest News Shares Comments Formby Planning Report Is Published A planning report relating to a major housing application on the edge of Formby is now available. An additional meeting of the borough’s planning committee takes place later this month to discuss plans for 274 dwellings on the site bounded by Liverpool Road, Monks Drive, Savon Hook and River Close. Planning officers are recommending to the committee that the application is refused when the meeting takes place on Monday, October 28 at 6.30pm at The Atkinson, Lord Street, Southport. The ultimate decision on the night rests with councillors on the committee. Jane Gowing, Sefton Council’s Head of Planning Services said: “We have considered this application very carefully. As with all applications we need to apply planning policies when we make our recommendations to Planning Committee. “The application is recommended for refusal since we consider that there are no very special circumstances that exist to justify granting permission of this green belt site at this time. The application is therefore in conflict with national and local green belt policies.” View the full report for Planning Committee.
