Formby Childcare: Pine Pixies Pre-School

by
5th October 2016

At Pine Pixies Pre-School our children have been settling into their new term. Lots of fun has been found with their new mud kitchen and they have made their outside play house into a stable, with sawdust and straw from the local pet shop. Inside they have been experimenting with making various types of playdough, baking cakes and hand painting.

Since September 2016 we have changed our planning techniques and recording to ‘In the moment planning’. This we feel will ensure the setting is more child-led.

We have completely re-structured our way of storing our equipment in order to ensure the children are given more free choice during play. This we hope will give a more enabling environment and will allow the children to explore and investigate through their play.

This system will also bring our parents into our planning structure and allow them a more in-depth sight into their child’s nursery life.

There are lots of opportunities and plenty of space to play with a friend or take some time out for quieter activities.

If you would like your child to attend our pre-school we do have places now available.

We are based at St Luke’s Parish Hall, Kirklake Road, Formby L37 2DB
