Merseyside Fire And Rescue Service were called to Marks and Spencer in Chapel Street at around 6.00am this morning, Tuesday 15 April 2015.
The staff were evacuated from the sore as a precaution.
A member of staff quoted: “Fortunately it was due to be a false alarm”.
