Email sent to OTS News editor regarding parking issue in Southport September 19th, 2013 admin Latest News Shares Comments Email sent to OTS News editor regarding parking issue in Southport I was picking the kids up yesterday out side marsh side primary and parked the car on the road were there were no yellow lines as cars couldn’t get passed. I put 2 wheels on the kerb like most motorists do who park anywhere in southport, this community support officer was there with his note pad looking over playing super cop wannabe next thing he comes over and says I had to move as I was committing a crime obstruction when I had every right to park there? Can anyone shed some light on the law please about parking? As I thought you could park down any street unless you had double yellows or permit holders only and if its against the law to park your car half on the road and half on the pavement then why do most people do it?
