Drug driver and playing partner lands in the rough at Hesketh Golf Club

Emergency services were called to the Hesketh Golf Club after members reported two men driving a white Vauxhall Corsa smashing through the car park fence and landing left of the par 4 14th hole, Thursday 19 May 2016

The two men made a run for it leaving behind a large quantity of drugs. Police called for the air support and quickly detained the men.

A golf club member said: “It’s lucky no one was ran down by these idiots.”

The two men aged around twenty-years-old could be heard banging from inside the van like crazed caged animals.

The two men were taken to Southport’s nearest custody suit which is now somewhere in Liverpool for further questioning.
