Downy Duckling Week is your unique opportunity to see and discover how ducklings develop inside an egg and break free from the shell into a young bird that you can meet whilst exploring the duckling nursery. From Saturday May 25 to Sunday 2 June, the Downy Duckling Week is a great attraction for all the family and was the winner of the Best Tourism Experience in Lancashire at the Lancashire and Blackpool Tourism Awards 2009. Victoria Fellowes, Martin Mere Marketing Manager said: “This is such a great time for the centre. Visitors can meet some of the cutest newborn ducklings, goslings and cygnets with special behind the scenes tours of the whole egg to duckling process.
