Merseyside police and ambulance services were called to Victory Avenue at approximately 14.30 today, Monday 27 April 2015.
A neighbour said:
“We heard it all kicking off outside, police had to break into a house to allow ambulance personnel access.
A police officer was bitten by a German Sheppard dog, the officer was taken to hospital and the dog owner arrested”.
