ots golf children southportNominations can still be made to recognise those who have made a real difference to grassroots sport in Sefton.

Votes can be cast in many different categories as part of the annual Sefton Sports Awards which takes place at the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre on June 18.

Nominations can be made in the following groups:

Club Of The Year

Coach Of The Year

Lifetime Achievement

School Of The Year

Sports Personality Of The Year

Supporter Of The Year

Team Of The Year

Volunteer Of The Year

Young Volunteer Of The Year

Tina Pilkington, Development Manager at Sefton Council, said: “Do you know a volunteer who has given up their time to support others or a sports club which has been really successful?

“If so, we want to hear from you so they can rightfully be recognised at the prestigious Sefton Sports Awards.

“Please celebrate our local sporting heros and reward their achievements by making a nomination.”

Nominations can be made at or by collecting a form from any Active Sefton leisure centre in the borough. The deadline for entries is May 23.
