Birkdale Sandhills LNR Birkdale Sandhills LNR, Sand dune habitat improvement

Get out and join us in the fresh air for some exercise at Birkdale Sandhills Local Nature Reserve whilst improving the sand dune habitats for the special wildlife that we have along the coast. Help us to remove poplar and Sea Buckthorn scrub, which chokes out the native species of flora and fauna.

Meet at Weld Road parking area. 10am – 3.30pm both days.

Strong footwear, suitable outdoor clothing and gardening gloves if you have some are advisable.
