The launch of the Medway system at Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust moves maternity record-keeping from paper to a totally computerised system. Bailey, from Sefton village in Maghull, was the first arrival after the switching on of Medway on Monday morning. The centralised, integrated system will have inpatient and outpatient maternity care in the one place.
