There will be an opportunity to browse a variety of information stands on all things dementia. Stands range from holidays to healthcare, singing groups to specialist equipment. Linda Lawson, Information Worker for Alzheimer’s Society said: ’As the population ages, we all face the risk of one day developing dementia. We know that access to information is vital to make sure people are aware of the services and support available to them. The more we know about the condition, the more prepared we’ll be to face it. I am really excited about this event as it is the first one we have ever done in Sefton and it’s a great way for people to get lots of information about dementia all in one place.’ The Dementia Solutions event will also include four mini information seminars on legal matters and dementia, Alzheimer’s Society services, benefits and current research. You can pop in to listen to any or all of these seminars. Please contact us for times. In addition there will be a reminiscence area for people living with dementia to enjoy.
