A milk van driver risked ripping off his golden top after he crashed his van under a low bridge in Southport today, Friday 27 January 2017.

The incident happened on Cobden Road/Peel Street this afternoon – leaving the dairy delivery driver, who has not been identified, with egg – and milk – on his face after he ignored clear warning signs informing him that the bridge was too low.

A spokesperson for Bates’ Dairy has yet to respond.

However a local resident said that this is more than a common occurrence with a number of vans who try their luck!
