Cyclist hit by car Meols Cop Bridge Southport January 12th, 2013 admin Latest News Shares Comments The emergency services were called to Meols Cop Bridge, Southport, at approximately 6:15pm tonight (Saturday 12th January 2013) following reports of a RTC. The accident happened at the bottom of Meols Cop Bridge at the junction of Lesley Road, Southport. The injured female cyclist was given oxygen at the scene by paramedics before being transfered to Southport & Formby DGH. Her condition is not thought to be life threatening. The driver of the car, Paul Marshall suffered shock. A passing motorist, said he was “shocked” the crash happened just in front of him. “It is just really horrendous,” he added.
