ABOVE: Disabled man hangs on to police car roofrack. The owner of the shop called the police after a disabled customer refused to pay for eight bottles of Cider that he picked up of the shelf. ABOVE: Police help the man towards the van The man started to exit the shop and refused to pay so cops were called. They arrived in minutes and escorted the man out of the shop to a waiting police car. The man’s walking frame wouldn’t fit inside the car so a van was called for. The disabled man was locked in the rear of the van along with his walking frame. He was taken to Southport Police Station for questioning.
