Concerns for Ainsdale Road Safety

OFFICERS from Merseysdie Police have been conducting a number of speed enforcement operations in Ainsdale after residents raised concerns about road saftey.

The latest operation, which took place on Thursday May 19, was designed to tackle the number of motorists speeding around Ainsdale Village, which is currently balnketed in 20mph zones

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “Neighbourhood officers have be conducted a speeding operation in Ainsdale.

“This is in direct response to concerns raised by local residents, via the ‘Have Your Say’ reporting process.

“A number of locations have been identified across the Neighbourhood where minor breaches of the 20mph and 30 mph speed limits are regularly reported.

“We remind all motorist to observe the posted speed limits and driver within these limits at all times, whilst considering your safety at that of fellow road users.”
