Community Link bosses welcome accountancy firm support

Resort based accountancy and business advisory firm Moore and Smalley has renewed its partnership with the town’s Community Link Foundation for another year.

The firm, which has offices in Hoghton Street, has supported the charity for the past two years.
Community Link Foundation was created to help people in Southport and surrounding areas who need financial support – whether that be a parent with a child requiring assistance as part of an on-going illness or disease, to a sports team in need of new equipment to benefit local young people.

Since its inception the charity has helped numerous people, organisations and causes, including providing a grant to the Southport Foodbank, money for a specialist bike for a young girl with Down’s syndrome, funding towards a hoist for a Southport schoolboy and a grant to help with the purchase of two minibuses for the Learning Rooms in Birkdale.

James Treadwell, partner at Moore and Smalley’s Southport office, said: “During our time supporting this fantastic charity we have seen what a difference it has made to the people within the local community and we are proud to continue that support for a third year.”
