Although Colin has great difficulty walking he successfully cycled the 30 miles with great enthusiasm and self discipline following months of training. His effort raised £700 towards research into this progressive neurological condition. This included very generous donation from his family and friends and even a diner he met after completing the cycle. Colin completed the ride on his own with a car as back-up which he did not need. Parkinson’s UK are hoping to raise enough funds to support research that may well bring about the long awaited cure. The picture shows Colin enjoying a well earned drink when he arrived back in Ainsdale. Submit News Contact us with your community, business or sport news.
