Police are appealing for information after a theft in Leyland. Around 8.20pm on March 3, a man entered the Co-op store in Dunkirk Lane. He leaned over the shop counter and took a plastic bag containing cigarettes valued at £100. He then left the shop in the direction of Moss Side Community Centre. The man is described as slim, wearing a green hooded top with camouflage pants. Police would like to speak to this man, pictured, in connection with the incident. Sgt Mark Douglas, of Leyland Police, said: “We are appealing for information after cigarettes were stolen from a shop in Leyland. “We are keen to trace this man and would ask anyone who recognises him to contact police immediately.” Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting crime reference SC1601422.
