Christmas late night train services start on Sunday November 29th, 2014 jmr jmr Latest News Shares Comments Merseyrail is to run late night weekend train services on the run-up to Christmas for the first time, starting this weekend (Sunday 30th November) Merseyrail said there will be two trains, one to Southport and one to Hooton, both leaving in the early hours of the morning from Liverpool Central Station. The late night services will run on Sunday November 30, Sunday, December 7, Sunday, December 14, Saturday, December 20, and Sunday, December 21. Passengers will only be allowed to board services at Liverpool Central and will only stop at Waterloo and Formby. The fare will be a rate of £3. Northern Line service will run from Liverpool Central to Southport and will departs at 1.30am arriving at Southport at 2.04am only stopping to drop off passengers at Waterloo and Formby.
