Sister and event organiser, Deborah Prior said: “Wow what an amazing night, a huge thanks all round” “Thank you to each and every one of you for coming down to The Mount to help raise some money for the Friends of the Poplars & remember fondly, my big brother Vinny! “It is with great pride and pleasure I can announce that, with a donation from Mr A Gilmore who couldn’t make the event, of £14… We raised the fantastic sum of £1000 (we took £986 on the night). “So huge thanks to every single person…I am sincerely grateful for not only your generosity but also all the kind words of comfort and memories. “Many, many thanks to everyone who donated gifts, gave me advice, spread the word far& wide and turned up to support this event and make it the success that it is….THANK YOU!! “Well done and huge thanks to Akoosticka for the fantastic music…everybody loved it…as Vinny would have!!
