Ben Haslam from Southport is doing a number of event in order to raise money for Young Minds, a charity for children with mental health problems.
On Monday 8th August, they are doing a 20 mile walk from the centre of Liverpool to Southport Funland starting at 9am and hoping to get into Southport at around 6pm. They will be raising money through sponsorships and donations.
Then on Wednesday 10th August, they will be holding a cake sale outside Salvation Army at 11am-2pm with the likes of flapjacks and gingerbread people being sold and almost everything being sold will be homemade with the exception of some items.
On Thursday 11th August, they will be doing the Fun Day at the Scout Hut on Pinfold Road, Formby. It will be at 12pm-3pm with different activities and stalls available such as “Hook a Duck” and penalty shootouts. There will be snacks and drinks available and live music as well. One stall will be dedicated to Young Minds, the charity we’re supporting, to raise awareness of the cause.
All money raised is being donated to Young Minds, a charity for children with mental health problems.
