Students from the academy will take part in two exciting one and a half minute rounds of Olympic style Taekwondo to determine who the strongest fighter is and have the chance to progress up the club’s in house leader board. This unique event is open to all spectators and hopes to attract local businesses to help with funding for the project. Unite head coach Master Thomas visited Ghana in February, delivering workshops and sessions to young people and coaches, offering quality training and teaching key skills such as confidence and discipline. Unite hope to bring one of these students and a coach to the UK in August to experience a different way of life and to train with some of the best coaches in the world including the GB Olympic advanced coaching team, whom Unite have strong links with.
