Lancashire Makers is run as a co-operative by 19 makers in Churchtown, Southport.

Paula Maxfield said: “We are members of The art & Craft Guild of Lancashire and used to be Gallery at the Wharf in Burscough, then Gallery at Brockholes in Preston.

“We hope to stay for some time in Botanic Road with this our third not for profit shop, run by the makers.

“Everything sold has been handmade by artists & craft makers from Lancashire and the North West. The theme this month is ‘Celebrating Handmade’.

“Our shop offers that something special for you, or as a gift for friends or loved ones.

“Choose from scarves, bags, cards, jewellery, paintings, prints, photographs, bowls, vases, plates, mugs, whittled (carved) wooden birds, wooden earring stands, wooden clocks, wood bowls, wooden pens, glass decorations, glass plates, cushions, notebooks, soap and creams”.
