Detectives in Liverpool have issued CCTV images of a man and a woman who they would like to speak to in connection with cash in transit robberies.

Constable Jo Sheedy said:

“When a cash box has been forced open, this activates a dye and makes the cash worthless. We believe that there is a group of criminals who are trying to ‘clean up’ this cash by passing it through gaming machines in bookmakers in the Liverpool area.

“We are keen to speak to these two individuals pictured as we believe they may have vital information that could help us with our enquiries, or urge anyone who thinks they may know who they are, to please contact police.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Merseyside Police on 0151 777 8603 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
