A train conductor was grabbed by her wrist and pulled backwards in an assault at Walkden train station.

British Transport Police have released this image of a man they believe has information about the incident, which took place shortly before 10pm on Friday, June 10.

Investigating officer, PC Daniel Naylor, said: “As the victim was despatching the train she was approached by a man on platform one at Walkden station who enquired about services to Southport. After answering his question she boarded the train when he grabbed her wrist and pulled her backwards, causing bruising and swelling to her arm.”

After reviewing CCTV, officers are today issuing images of a man they want to speak to about the incident.

“The man in the images is someone who I think has information about this incident. Who is he?” added PC Naylor.
