Car explodes on Liverpool Road Southport
A car exploded on Liverpool Road in Southport this morning, November 17 2016.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue were called out to two fires which took place on Liverpool Road.
They were called to the scene of a car on fire just before the Tesco Express on Liveprool Road at 8.25am
Two other fire crews were called out to a fire at The Crown Pub on the same road at 8.15am.
A fire started on the ground floor kitchen of the pub, thought to have been caused by a pan of food left on a hot plate over night.
No one was reported injured.
