Call for Marshalls

Aintree Circuit Club, organiser of the highly successful Ormskirk Motorfest, have put out a call for volunteer marshals at the forthcoming event.

Taking place on Bank Holiday Sunday, 25th August, Ormskirk Motorfest has quickly established itself as the region’s biggest free family day out, not only displaying upwards of 300 cars and motorcycles in the historic market town, but bringing history to life with two solid hours of cavalcade parades on the ring road, especially closed for the event.

But with 300 vehicles and 20,000 visitors in-town, there is an acute need for marshals and stewards to keep everything running smoothly

Many marshal’s duties do not require any sort of training, being crowd control or just being visible around the course. It’s a fun way to get involved with the event and there’s a long period of free time to go and enjoy other aspects of the event from mid day until when the parade laps start. Marshals also get a food voucher to help with lunch!

As a new initiative, the organiser is offering £10 to each of the first 50 marshals. To be eligible, those interested must sign up on the official event web site at The £10 will be paid when the marshals sign in on the day of the event.
